Debbie Muse

With 30 years of marketing and public relations experience, including 27 in health care, Debbie specializes in content writing, creative strategy development, community relations, media relations and project management. She’s worked with Medical Marketing Inc. since 2002. Dubbed the “queen of words,” her personal mission is to delight clients with customized, cost-effective, practical marketing strategies and content, helping them achieve their individual goals and boost their brands in the marketplace.


Experience

Prior to joining Medical Marketing, Debbie worked in a variety of communication leadership positions for a number of organizations, including:

  • Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau (now Visit Orlando)
  • Florida Hospital (now AdventHealth)
  • Jacksonville Community Council Inc. (JCCI)
  • Jacksonville Eye Center and Hospice of Volusia/Flager (now Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler)

Education & Awards

Debbie earned her degree in communication from Florida State University in 1992 with a major in public relations and a minor in psychology.  She is a graduate of Leadership Orlando Class 52 and earned her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) from the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) in 1998. Her work has been recognized with a number of awards, including FPRA Orlando Chapter Grand Image, Image, and Judges Awards; and honorable mention for the Best Marketing Campaign by Healthcare Marketing & PR News’ National Awards Program.


Getting Involved

An education advocate and firm believer in the importance of community, Debbie has served on the executive committee and board of directors of A Gift for Teaching, the Bear Lake Elementary School PTA board of directors, and the preschool board of First Congregational Church United Church of Christ Winter Park. She has also mentored young students in at-risk elementary schools in Orange County and currently serves on the Advisory Board for Dueling Dragons of Orlando.
